Events Committee

This committee plans and coordinates events and activities related to gardening based on members’ interests. If needed, this committee may assist the vice president with guest speakers.

Activities

Helps to plan an activity for the club to participate in, such as, a craft project, DIY, cooking demo, etc.; gathers materials, sets up, and makes arrangement for whatever is needed for that activity. 

Field Trips

Plan day trips to visit places of horticultural interest, usually within a 30-mile radius of PebbleCreek, such as the worm farm, nurseries, etc.

Trips are open to all garden club members, and some may require individual entry fees. Trips are planned on both weekends and weekdays to accommodate the membership. The subcommittee organizes carpools, meeting places, and works with the webmaster to promote the field trip.

Social

Arranges a gathering for the first (September) and last meeting (April) of the club year usually at the Oasis Pool. Plans for other social gatherings throughout the year based on members' interests, club funds and Board approval.
